GREENING LAGOS Competition...
The city of Lagos lacks sufficient green spaces mainly due to the rapid rate of urbanisation, and this contributes to urban degradation and loss of biodiversity. It has negative environmental impacts such as pollution and increased temperatures which eventually affect the health of residents.
Greening Lagos Objectives...
Our objective is to inspire practical and manageable solutions that are both sustainable and scalable within the Lagos environment. This competition encourages kids to use their creativity and problem-solving skills to come up with ideas that can help their communities. We want them to think about solutions that work for the present and can grow in the future, making a positive impact on other communities in Lagos as well.
GREENING LAGOS Dates...
Competition timeline- August 20th - September 15th. Eligibility Criteria: The competition will be open to ages 10-12, 13-15, and 16-18. Each age group forms different categories of the competition where 3 winners will emerge from each category.
